My name is Katelin Freeman and I am one of the 2009 2010 Richfield Ambassadors. I have been very fortunate of getting crowned, but I'm in no rush of giving it up just yet. This experience has been absolutely amazing and I've been blessed with 2 amazing ambassador sisters Emily Schnacky and Maria Carrillo, and two adorable little sisters Mindy Bolar and Josie Carson. I also have two very supportive parents Scottand Gayle Freeman. I also thank my sister Krista, who helps me get pretty for a lot of the events, and my sister Kelly, who keeps me humble with her jokes and wisdom.
The year has been full of memories but one of the most rewarding experiences would have to be helping out at a crisis nursery with kids ages 6 days old to 5 years old. Aside from all the glamorous parades and coronations, which I loved, volunteering was definitely the best part. I have a fresh outlook on life thanks to this amazing program. Next year I will be attending the University of South Dakota in Vermillion (Go Yotes!) Combining all of my joys in life; art, working with children, imagination, and acting,
I will be majoring in art education and minoring in theater.
