Richfield’s Hometown 4th of July Celebration is now will be accepting candidate applications in January.   If you are currently enrolled in grades K-2 AND are living in or attending a school in Richfield, you are eligible to become a Junior Ambassador!


Each Candidate will:

  • enjoy candidate activities such as a picnic and pie eating contest, including a special Junior Ambassador coronation on the 4th of July!
  • get to know the older candidates for the Richfield Ambassador Program as their “little sister” or "little brother" 
  • be invited to ride in the 4th of July Parade
  • work on speaking in public
  • receive a keepsake candidate t-shirt and tiara/scepter
  • make new friends have a lot of fun!


Parents: as candidates, your child will have the opportunity to:

  • build self-esteem develop their sense of responsibility and volunteerism
  • make new friends
  • develop their ability to speak in public
  • have a unique experience that provides a lifetime of memories


If you were to be crowned Junior Ambassador, as a Member of the Royal Family you would:

  • act as an ambassador for Richfield at parades and coronations
  • attend community events and volunteer activities
  • meet a lot of new people
  • ride the Richfield float in several parades
  • make new friends
  • earn a $300 savings bond
  • have a lot of fun!
  • have a unique experience that provides a lifetime of memories
